I'm Having A Hard Time Going Back To Smokeless

love my BP revolvers, but a trip to the range with 10 or 12 of them and the resulting 2 or 3 days worth of clean up,makes me appreciate the self contained smokeless powder cartridge. jwr

It's definately a permanent condition, and it seems to grow worse with time. I've been shooting black powder since the '70's. I've always loved it, but I've always loved cartridge guns too. It seems as time goes on though, I find more aspects of muzzleloading that I like and gain more interest in it, while I tend to lose interest in cartridge guns and often just put them aside for a while.

Well I have a lot of smokless firearms and powder for reloading. I'm sure I'll start at it again in the future.

For now though I just upgraded to .54 Cal for the Pedersoli Tryon I snagged off gunbroker. Should be here next week. .54 has a much better track record for bringing down moose and bruin than .50.
