I'm thinking about getting a more expensive optic

Put a 6.5 MOA in the cart and it says 1 to 2 weeks. Too good of a deal to pass up. I have wanted one, but wasn't willing to go full price. This brings it within a buck and a quarter of the Venum and FFIII.

Mind you the Burris Fast Fire III has a 3 MOA dot and is $100 cheaper. I have two of those FF3s and I can vouch for them, even mounted on a 12g shotgun.

they both said 16 weeks yesterday.

They said 15/16 weeks on the page, but 1/2 weeks in the cart when I read this and checked it out earlier today.

Now it says 1/2 weeks on the page as well. That's a good thing. :)

I want the bigger dot. I have a Fastfire III with the 8 MOA dot and like it a lot. No complaints with it. The RMR has a 12 MOA triangle version. Not sure how I would feel about a triangle instead of a dot, but 12 MOA sounds good for fast shooting. I have an old Aimpoint AP CompC SM with a 7 MOA dot on a retired .38 Super and it is fantastic. Should have bought two back then. Not many big dot red dots available anymore. I don't know why, because they are faster. I have a very old school Tasco ProPoint red dot with a 42 (?) mm lens and a large dot. Super fast. I also have an old Aimpoint 5000 with a huge dot on my 9MM AR and it is great. I wish makers would offer more red dot sights with large dots. It's great that there are now some 6 to 8 MOA choices in the little sights at least. Why people want these tiny dots on ARs that will mostly be used for close fast work is beside me. I wish Aimpoint would offer the Pro or the micro in a big dot. Same goes for Trijicon and the MRO. There used to be some options with multiple dot sizes. Nikon made one. I have the Nikon in the fixed dot. :)

Here is the Nikon on a Sig 556 Classic. Too bad they discontinued them. A nice optic.

I don't think anyone has ever regretted buying a Trijicon product, and that is one of the most versatile optics on the market.

That is an excellent price for a Trijicon LED illuminated RMR.

I do want to mention that it appears the sight is being sold without mounting hardware. This is common, since there are many different mounting options, so you should look carefully to be sure you get the mounting hardware you need.

It will mount on plate #3 that my XDm OSP pistol came with.

The XD(M)® OSP™ features a milled slide and 3 adapter plates that allow the direct attachment of your favorite optics. A matching cover plate provides a seamless slide surface when optics aren’t present. The OSP™ will ship with a cover plate along with 3 plate configurations that will support popular optics such as, but not limited to: #1 Plate – Vortex® Venom, Burris FastFire™ 2, Burris FastFire™ 3; #2 Plate – Leupold DeltaPoint®, Leupold DeltaPoint® Pro, JPoint® Sights; #3 Plate – Trijicon® RMR®.

$349 Trijicon, Inc. RMRs are back in stock and ready to ship immediately at Cabela's. I can't imagine paying the $535 street price for a Type 2 right now.

Showing $290 right now, wish I had seen this sooner.

Ah, the code. Brings it to $261. Free shipping too. With free mounts. Nice.

You're costing me money ilbob. Well spent though, these are nice. :)

I've got an RX-30 on my HD AR. Pretty nifty. It uses ambient light. I got it below dealer cost and it was still about $400.

Just kinda stick your head behind it and you're good to go
