I want one as well. A tad expensive for a safe queen, which I'm normally not into, but I can't see myself shooting it too often. Too pretty 😍

I'd be happy with the .38 Super. I've never shot one but always wanted to.

I hadn't looked into it but I'm betting it's laser. I doubt the asking price would cover just the labor for hand engraving.
I wonder if the older Herloon is hand engraved? they got the last years model at my tacticool shop and it’s case color with a little engraving. I like it

I'm kind of doubting any of the versions offered by DW are hand engraved, unless they sublet through the local vocational school. I don't think you'd get a master engraver to lay down that amount of work for any less than $2K. I've never priced it out, but $300/hr doesn't seem a stretch.

Edit...Ok, maybe not as high as I thought

i have 38super 1911 engraved by Jim Downing (just the slide). Double the DWs buy it now price and you start getting in the ballpark.

That said, the Guncrafter base gun was substantially more expensive to begin with.

Honestly I'm not fussy about the caliber but IMO this is a looker, particularly for the price. Still too rich for my blood, though.
I've been trying to find one as well, not sure why he dumped them and just makes those ****ty 9mm's

Pretty fancy. I like my VBob a lot, even if it’s plan and getting a little weathered.

Still miss my 9mm Valkyrie a bit, I almost had DW fit a .38 super barrel for it, and kinda wish I had.

Wonder if they still offer that, a number of years back it was only like $130

they have a VBob Classic at my local shop, but not cheap, $1100! ouch

Not my speed, but if it'd run 9x23 I'd overlook the fancy-pants aesthetic. :)

Did you guys know Dan Weston was the brother of Smith & Weston? or something like that

I am down to one Colt. This one looks amazing!!
My grail 38 super is a P220... it might happen!!
That Dan Wesson sure is a pretty thing; but I doubt if I ever would shoot it. Just take it out every now and then to admire it (with gloves on of course), then back into the safe.

Same here with my Colt Commander .38 Super and it's not going anywhere, except to the range and occasionally a night out on the town.

One of my most surprisingly accurate service pistols was a Browning BDA .45, (A.K.A. Sig Sauer P220.)

Always wondered how good the BDA .38 Super would have been.

I'm not an expert on engraving, but normally have been able to tell laser engraving at a glance. I had to read up on this one, though. The internet says it's laser, but boy, that's good-looking laser!

I've always been a sucker for the Mexican-style Colt "pimp guns" in .38 Super. I had a plain blued Colt 1911 in "Super .38", and I payed a premium for the Colt name even way back around 1990 or so. It really wasn't a very good gun, but I sure liked it and was sorry when it was stolen. If I ever buy another one I will still be paying for the Colt name - but the Dan Wesson is probably a better gun, and certainly is a looker!

They told me no. I asked if I could just buy the 38 Super barrel for my 9mm Guardian and they said no to that too, then went on to "warn" me about altering firearms from their original chambering.
