Initial zeroing the rifle in three rounds had me waving the white flag on recoil. The Lynx is a long recoil .50BMG bullpup that has a molded hard 1.5" thick butt pad that left my shoulder badly bruised. I swore to not shoot it again until a proper recoil pad was in place. Rifle LOP precluded adding a slip-on over the original.
Factory on right.
Butt plate with bolt at rearmost travel.
Inletted replacement.
Final installation with disassembly cut for bolt spring.
The Limbsaver pad was screwed and glued to the butt plate like the original factory shoulder mutilator, and allowed me to shoot 50 rounds with no pain other than financial. ;-)
