I bought an Inter-Ordnance AK-47C a few weeks ago and it came with a screw-on slant muzzle brake, says Tapco stamped on the side and it's LH thread. This I.O. AK uses the I.O. receiver and a barrel made by Mossberg. (Incidently, it's one of the most accurate AK's I've ever owned, but more on that later). Problem is, I bought a Phantom flash hider from DPH Arms in 14x1LH, the AK standard thread for muzzle devices, and it won't fit, screws on a thread or two and stops. I called I.O. and confirmed it's 14x1LH thread, I called DPH and they sent me another Phantom and it still didn't fit, same problem as first one.

So the question is...does anyone else have an I.O. AK that they've changed the muzzle device on? Any problems with fitment?
Anyone else order a Phantom muzzle brake and find it doesn't fit?
I've used the Phantom before on all my Saiga builds which I've threaded the end of the barrel myself and never had a problem. By the way, the Tapco that's on the I.O. slips right on and off, no problems at all with that one.
