I'm a bit of a PWS fanboy, owning three of their rifles, but I'd never heard about the development of the UXR until a couple weeks ago! It's a shade under 7 lbs and does seem poised to provide the modularity that's often been promised but rarely delivered. According to PWS on launch day there will be caliber conversion kits for .308, .300 AAC and 5.56 with three more coming soon. It seems to have some interesting innovations rarely seen on small arms (eg a tank-style evacuator!?) and is guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA with match ammo.

I am wanting to get one in .300 Blackout, and maybe all barrel/caliber kits as time goes on (probably 5.56 first then .308).

Just from watching the video i like the design. It's beyond what im willing to spend, but its the most interesting of the new designs ive seen.

Yeah, expensive to be sure. The caliber conversion isn't a huge deal, kind of cool but more bonus than primary advantage. I like that they are offering a 14.5" 300 Blackout (pinned & welded muzzle device), they don't offer their other 300 AAC carbines in the 16" length anymore. It looks like it's almost a pound lighter than my PWS Mk114 Mod 1.

I watched a little of the video to see what it is as I had no idea about a PWS. Another yawn from me. It appears to be another solution in search of a problem. Sorry to be a downer but no interest at all. There is a ton of military style semi-auto rifles available, Now there is another.

I love my PWS MK116. I'd consider it.

I also don't care about caliber conversions. 'Not a fan of constantly re-zeroing guns.

The claim is that you can swap barrels and maintain zero within 1/2 moa. Not too shabby! With a RDS that's pretty much holding zero perfectly.

The caliber conversion thing is cool but not really the main draw for me. Still, it would be a nice way to add the capability to shoot a round I'd like to have but that I wouldn't shoot much, like .308, more economically than buying another rifle. I'm primarily interested in the 14.5" version in .300 Blackout, anything else would just be gravy.
