Does anyone know if any military issues the glock e-tool?
I know the Australian and Austrian army both use the glock fm 78 field knife which can be used as a bayo for the Steyr AUG. I know they also make the same knife in 2 versions and 6 colors and as far as I can determine thats mostly for the civvy market.
I picked up a glock e tool to put with the recovery gear in my jeep. I could have gotten an army ames or newer gerber but i just wasn't in a hurry to get reacquainted with that. The glock seems well made and much lighter.
Anyways I can find no evidence in the several searches i can find no sign that these Glock etools are used by any military so that makes me think its really just another overpriced doo dad for the civilian market ???
Im thinking i could use a file or grinder to sharpen one edge and repaint it to have a back defense tool with longer reach than an average knife.
