Is it possible to get a replacement blade for a Benchmade folder?

We had a bit of an emergency the other day, and I loaned my pocketknife to a feller who needed it in a hurry. I just now opened it back up, and the blade's been buggered all to heck. (No hard feelings of course, it was serious need not carelessness). The rest of the knife is in dandy condition though.

So - by any chance I could just buy a replacement blade from Benchmade, and swap it out?

Contact Benchmade and tell them the whole story including exactly how the emergency usage caused the blade damage and they may just replace it for free.

Had something similar to happen...I called and they said to send the knife back for repairs and they sent me a new knife free of charge.

There is probably some amount of fitting involved in replacing the blade if you want the locking mechanism to work right. Send it back to them.

Thanks all - I wrote Benchmade, and will prolly just mail it back to 'em when I get back to Anchorage in a few weeks and can get to a post office.

(T'wasn't my adventure, I fear, but the feller in question put some chips in the blade trying to get his little plane out of a river. I presume he was cutting rope against a metal support strut or something. )
