Is Remington shipping rifles yet?

I was in Walmart yesterday, and noticed they have two Model 700s in the case. One 243 and one 270. I didn't have time to wait for someone so I could take a look. I don't know if they were older stock that finally got cleared out of the warehouse, or they are new production. There was also an 870.
I'm just curious if anyone knows.
As I understand, the new name is Rem Arms, so I'll try to get back and see what rollmark they have

I have heard the new RemArms will still be marked Remington . I don't think they have produced/shipped anything new yet

I don,t know if they're shipping but I went by the plant in Ilion yesterday and the parking lot was about 2/3rds full.

Walmart moves unsold guns around store to store, so I would guess NOS.

I don’t have any first hand info but what I’ve been reading only is that 870s are the first lines started up and have started to see this one model all the sudden come back into stock at various retailers. Either they are shipping new ones or someone discovered a decent stock of NOS coincidentally.

We know they are producing and shipping 870 Expresses and Tacticals. I think their own announcement was that they were were starting with the 870 and 700 ADLs first.

My friend who used to work at the Arms has moved to Florida. He asked a friend that works in shipping about what is going out the door. Will keep you posted.

That would be great to hear the real story .Thank. Last news letter I received from Lipseys or Zanders said they hoped to be shipping 870s by duck season , I was not sure if that meant they were not being produced yet or they just could not get them until fall.

That must be fun listening to stories of working there from a workers perspective . I have only been to Ilion once , that was to go to the Remington custom shop . Thought I was bringing home a Model 7 ,that was not to be on that day . I bought a pocket knife so I could at least say I got something at the shop .

I haven't made it back to Walmart, but the gun store around the corner from my house just got a couple 870s in. He says they are brand new production.

They better get back to making good rifles or they will be OOB again quickly
