is serbian prvi partizan corrosive?

I'm trying to amass enough brass to feed 3 32swl revolvers, and was planning to buy factory ammo to shoot then save the brass. Prvi is cheap and brass so it's on the list of possible sources. I don't want to put corrosive ammo through the guns as one is immaculate, one is an heirloom, and one is junk but I'm not keeping special ammo just for it. If it is corrosive I might unload it through the junker as I already have a couple old boxes.

I have shot many, many a round of Prvi .38 special through my revolvers and have never had any issues even after left unclean. You will be absolutely fine.

Also, corrosive ammo isn't radioactive or anything. A mxture of 10 parts water to 1 part Ballistol to flush out the gun after shooting, followed by a regular cleaning, will work just fine for protection against the corrosive primer salts.

PS: Just read the rest of your post. Yeah it is good of you to check, with guns like that I wouldn't want to shoot corrosive in them even if it is easy to clean up.

It's not corrosive and in general I've found Prvi Partizan ammo to be top notch stuff.

I don't know of any commercially available ammo that is still made with corrosive priming. As other have said, corrosive ammo is typically limoted to military surplus. I'm not aware of ANY commercial ammo currently loaded with corrosive primers.

Not corrosive, and you'll have some very serviceable brass also. I like the PPU brass for reloading, pistol and rifle.

Goodness no! No chlorate-based primers. It's not surplus ammo.

Corrosive or non-corrosive has nothing to do with quality (chlorate based primers have fantastic shelf life and great cold-weather ignition uniformity), but Prvi Partizan is also very high quality ammo with very reloadable brass.

Guess there's an echo in here. I've used a good deal of it. The boxes were all in rough shape but the ammo itself is non-corrosive and very good. My brother got 5-6 deer with a box of it in .30-30 I gave him.

One note regarding Prvi Partizan:

Being that it started out being produced in a communist country, they did things according to the "plan". That meant, in my experience, that while length of rifle cases was quite consistent, it was consistent on the outside (albeit safe) limit. I could count on having to trim EVERY once fired case before reloading.

Aside from that, it was cheap, safe, accurate ammunition. When CBC of Brazil stepped in to fill the gap when it was no longer available, they had some QC issues, including ones that led to blowups. I don't ever recall that happening with Prvi Partizan/Hanson.
