It looks like the Bone Collector version of the Triumph has a better recoil pad and fluted barrel. Is that worth the extra bucks? Anyone have both to compare?

Here's some opinions:

I think that it could be worth the extra money if the flex tech stock is more ergonomic and it actually reduces some of the felt recoil, even if it isn't by the 43% as claimed. Having good ergonomics and comfort are difficult to put a price tag on, but ergonomically designed products usually do cost more money. It may be considered by many to be a luxury but it can probably offer some folks tangible benefits.

Built on one of Thompson/Center Arms’ most popular platforms, the Triumph Bone Collector Series has a distinctive look and feel and is available with a composite stock in dark gray or in Realtree® AP® camo finish. Both models feature a FlexTech® stock and are equipped with four Energy Burners™ placed at precise locations to allow the stock to slightly compress during recoil. This design is easy on the shoulder and reduces felt recoil by 43 percent.
