Is there a better way to meter Unique?

The Lyman 55 is very consistent with Unique. From as low as 3g to 12g is varies by less than .1g time after time. Just easy up and down with the handle and without using the knocker.

Mr. Whit, any other measure...

The Auto Disk measure is the ONLY Lee product I will no longer use. Everything else works as advertised and pretty well.

Supposedly, the AutoDisk works well with IMR type powders. I could never get good results with any kind of power: stick, ball, spherical, flake - anything.

I have used an old Lyman #55 measure, several Dillons (I use an XL 650 press these days), a Frankfort Arsenal measure, an old Bending & Mull and a Pacific Pistol measure. (And Lee dippers.) Unique worked fine (no serious velocity excursions) with all of them - except for the Auto Disk.

I've been reloading since 1970 or so.

Universal Clays is about the same burn rate and meters well in my Lee disk measure. However right now i can't seem to find anymore.:banghead: I am happy with it. Meters well, clean, usefull in 9mm, 9mm Mak, light .357/.38 and .45 APC
Of course this does not help with the Unique question but I just threw it out as food for thought. Not saying it is better just that it seems to meter well in my disk.

I tried Unique in my Lee PPM. It was on average 0.2 - 0.3gr off per throw, if just operating handle. I'll usually keep the loads mid-range if I'm using the PPM, but if I'm going for peak accuracy, I'll toss a charge to around -0.3 to -0.5 of my mark, and use my Redding Trickler into the balance beam scale to reach the mark.
