Pick up a pre owned one, many folks have a safe full of expensive 1911's that they picked up years ago, "on the cheap" if you look around you can save 30% on a pre owned piatol that hasn't even been fired, or fired very little.
Well since last night I looked at Hickocks review on the Ruger and the new Reminton is out, both in the 6-8 hundred range, I think you should take a gander at these 2, the Rem has 2 uprgaded modles coming out.
