Where do I go from here?
The ring mount is level-
The rear ring half isn't level, not by a long chalk:
The front ring half is level:
If I reverse the rear ring half, the bubble follows it.
I looked at the bottom of the ring; nothing out of the ordinary. Also, no burr on the ring mount face.
I pulled the ring half and set the level right on the mount point; level.
I pulled the front ring half and mounted the rear one there; out of level.
So, a problem with the ring half.
My question; is it actually a problem? Will it affect the scope, or is the rear circle in which the scope sits just clocked differently with no effect at all?
I've never had this happen before.
