I tried to mount a scope today with the recommended 1" rimfire rings with horizontal divide. When I tried to place the top half of the ring on the scope it seemed not to fit...too tight. I pushed firmly with my thumb, but stopped to avoid scratching the scope tube. I'm told that Warne rimfire rings are supposed to "snap on". Has this been your experience? None of my other Warne rings have been anything other than very precise and high quality. I've mounted quite a few scopes and have never had a ring that "snaps on". And if that is the case, what happens when you want to remove the rings and have to pry it off? In fact, I've learned the hard way that you should never try to force precision made parts. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Help me out here, please.
