Iver Johnson Thread Pitch

Hi all,

Anyone know the thread pitch to an old Iver Johnson Sealed 8 .22 revolver barrel?

I'm hoping it's not some proprietary pitch like the early S+W guns.

Tried to goggle your ? but the websites that were searched would need a serial # to help in your answer to the pitch of the thread.

Give that a try............using a serial number.

It's a Sealed 8 double action revolver, ser no. M83892. Measures (roughly) out to a diameter of 0.525" and 27 tpi. Which is probably 28 tpi, but still doesn't reach a standard size at all.

And yes, google didn't me much at all.

What you have specified is really close to 1/2" × 28tpi.
If it turns out to be something other than that, I'll be interested to know!

All I found was another Iver owner who thought the diameter was 0.52" with tpi of 25.
I agree that it's probably 1/2" x 28 tpi.
I'll try that, and see how it works out.
