That's for me to know and not you!
I have recently aquired some surplus Japanese rifle. 4 to be exact and they are in pretty decent condition. I want to resale them because the person I bought them from did not know what they were. This is where i could use some THR assistance. I really need some help from the surplus rifle buffs.

Here are my new children:

1. Murata type 13 11mm x 60R
2. Type 99 short rifle
3. Type 30 1897 Arisaka
4. Tipo 1 Italian made Japanese Navy chambered in 6.5mm. 1938 roughly

I know that the Murata is probably worth some money since there were only 58000 made and it was the first Japanese bolt rifle. However the others I am not sure. Thanks for any assistance.

at the housotn area gunshows, you see the 99 short , and the Arisaka, go for the above proscribed money, and they are in pretty good condition, you may get more for yours, they sound to be in better condition. Also , if any of the them Have origional japanese markings on them, especially the japanese mum or chrysanthemum flower up top, they tend to command more money as well.

All the rifles are in pretty decent condition...not perfect but pretty decent. I think the type 99 is the one with the MUM on it. However do any of you know how much I could get for the MURATA type13

I put up a thread on gunboards thanks for the info.

If you have to move them for money fine, but if you are younger or have kids to pass them to, they will be worth much more in 2045, the 100 year anniverseary of the end of the war.

I have a Type 99, very good condition, in tact Mum... I am going to hang onto it and pass it down.

I think I may know someone that will enjoy the Tipo 1 to no end...;)

SoCal:

I work for one of the subdivisions of Murata Machinery and never knew they made small arms! I got some images to show the boss at work; is there any way I could get pictures of yours?

Thanks,
Ram
