So, I decided it was time to get a shotgun for home defense as well as some clay shooting. I decided to settle on a used Remington 870 Wingmaster in 12 gauge with a 26" barrel.

It cost me $330 and appears to be well taken care of. The finish is just fine with no visible scratches or dents in the wood and only a few very minor scratches here and there in the metal. I'll be taking this thing out to shoot very soon to be certain, and if any problems arise (which I hope none does given the gun store I bought it at is quite reputable where I live), I can take it back to the store to have their gunsmith look at it for free.

This is my first shotgun, and after hearing rave reviews about the Remington 870 Wingmaster, I decided to get one for myself!

I have two 870's. One is an Express Magnum and the other is a Tactical model. Love both. You won't be dissapointed.

I got to handle one of the old ones a few days ago. They're in a whole different league compared to Remingtons new offerings. It almost had me second guessing my choice to get a Mossberg as my first shotgun but I made that decision for reasons that I stand by.

Congrats on the beautiful gun and enjoy it.

Thought I would include some pictures from that I took of it. Click for a massive image.

And a picture with my carry gun, my SIG P229.

Nice condition -- tho used (seeing that wear on mag tube) it is not abused. At least you posted picture here!
;)

an excellent choice! i have said it over and over that ANYTIME i ever find a decent shape winfer for under $250 - $300 i snap it up. i know there are millions out there but someday there wont be.
