And I'm about to crank out a few dummies just to see how they seat, OAL and the like. Made in Germany.

They have a good reputation over here. They're copper plated and apparently, they're also covered in some sort of stuff so they don't leave copper fouling in the barrel. Some of my range buddies who use them say it works. I chose the HP since they were priced the same as the RN and my LGS owner said I would be OK with both. My thought was that perhaps the HP would make for a better accuracy and would be a bit safer when hitting metal plates.

Priced at 40€, 500 bullets :(. But I still think they were a good deal. The locally manufactured RG RN (copper plated also) came in a vacuum sealed bag, and it was hard, caliper in hand, to find two that measured exactly the same in length and width. These are measuring consistently at 0.5735" long and 0.3545 " wide. The latter is the exact measurement I got when I slugged my barrel the other day. Do you think I'll be OK with these or should I go a bit higher up?. As far as I know, when you use copper plated you're fine using the bullets the same caliber as your barrel. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. They come in a nice cardboard box, with a few stickers in "kartoffeln" :D (German) to write down your load data on (easily understandable, though). The RG cost me 38€, 500. For a couple € more, you get better quality and a nicer presentation. I'm sorry for RG because it's a company based here, but it's up to them to improve their quality and then they'll get my hard earned money again...

Can't wait 'till Sunday to give them a go :D

What company did you order them from, and good luck, hope everything works out great for your reloading.

I would say the copper layer is thick enough, just by sight. How do you want me to check the thickness of it?. Scratching one of them with a cutter, for example?.

Hola.
Saludos.

Hello.
It appears that this brand is starting to dominate the market for charging points in Spain.
I am now trying the tips of 32 sw wc long to pull the trigger on walther gsp 32 that I have and am very pleased of the groups I do.
These tips you mention are triggered by several shooters that I know very well and are not bad value.
Anyway, at the distance of 25 mt which we compete, too bad it has to be the end, evil little recharged or suitable for your gun to disperse concerned enough to consider the results bad.
Normally the bad results are the sum of one or varis factors that I mentioned earlier that make bad ammunition including, of course, how good or not it is the shooter.
Rg is not a bad brand, but I think that either this being outdated and does not invest in improving or taken for good quality controls which we have considered mediocre. Until recently it was almost the only company to buy points in Spain.
The solution to all these problems is self fused projectiles and adapt to the weapon you have.
I do it in every shot and all calibers with good results but at 32 do not achieve as I want and so ends HN surcharge.
Greetings.

That's good to know. I had no data to compare the thickness of these bullets against, so my evaluation on their thickness would be of little use. All I can tell you, so far, is that I got better groups with them than with the RG and that my OAL seemed more consistent with the HN than with the RG. They definitely look like a quality product.

Luis7, I don't shoot what we call in our country "Precisión" (which would translate by "bullseye") at 25 meters. All I do is IPSC, but even in IPSC you'll find stages in which you'll find a target at 20 meters or so, and accuracy is equally important. Needless to say, casting your own bullets and tailoring them to your weapon is the way to achieve the best accuracy, but not all of us have the time nor the right place (tools, equipment, ventilation...) in which to cast bullets, and are limited to what is commercially available. The main problem I found with the RG bullets was the difference in size and weight amongst the bullets in the same package. Some weighed under 120 grains and others up to 127. Some measured .353" and others .355". When you're playing with the powder charge, trying to stay within power factor requirements but searching for the most comfortable load to shoot, in the sake of quicker double taps, this differences in weight and size are anything but desirable. Besides, it can lead to an unpleasant surprise if you're picked up to get your ammo chronoed.

Luis, yo Precisión no hago.
