I just bought a G26. Now I need to figure out the best way for me to carry it.

How do you guys like to carry your baby Glocks?

I'd like a few different ideas to think about and try.

I use a Hume JIT or a Bianchi Black Widow belt holster. Both are belt slide holsters; the black widow has a thumb break. I also have a Hume IWB (with leather snaps) but I don't like IWB carry.

Generally, I like to use my hands. However I have heard of some talented people that could use their feet... :what:

I like to carry mine loaded to start with.....when not using my hands, (;)), I use a tear-open fanny packs with shorts that don't have a belt - wear shorts a lot in Florida....otherwise I have a lightweight Uncle Mike's...

I carry my Glock 26 more in the winter and carry it in a DeSaintis Nemisis/Galco IWB/Uncke Mikes sidekick depending on dress.

bdjansen: If you want to try IWB, I can recommend the High Noon Bare Asset...which is very inexpensive and very, very thin. Difficult to reholster one handed, but comfortable. It is so thin that a side guard is not on the holster...cuz it would flop, thus, you must wear a T-shirt...the holster...then an outer, untucked shirt for ultimate comfort:

I carry my 26 in a Kydex pocket holster made by Aholster, or a Desantis 019 Mini Scabbard. The Desantis is a OWB that fully covers the barrel and trigger area, no retention strap.

Aholster...

I carry mine in a Bianchi Carry-Lok belt holster. It's a great setup. The holster also fits my Glock 36 (but not my wife's 30, which has a wider slide).

I use a Bianchi Professional (or something). It was cheap and I needed something quick so I bought it planning on getting something better later, but I love this thing. Great holster.

ok it's a Bianchi M100 - Professional. It was cheap and works great...

I've had good results with a Comp-Tac CTAC. They are around $75. If I buy another one I may try the minotaur MTAC which is the same thing with a leather backing for comfort, although I rarely find the ctac uncomfortable. If you get the "slide" model you can also use it with larger Glocks in 9mm and .40

How about something more along the lines of this, http://masterofconcealment.com/pgro...ncealment+T-Shirt+-+Crew+Neck+Style/?return=?

I agree that IWB with a glock is less comfortable. Shoulder holsters don't work for all occasions, and many hip holsters tend to "flip" when a baby glock is inserted. I formerly owned a Glock 27 and used a galco summer comfort holster. I regularly had problems with it wanting to flip back over on me, very annoying. If you do get a leather holster, make sure it has good strong belt loops, not snaps!

IWB-Appendix here. I'm using a High Noon Hidden Ally (tuckable version of Mr. Softy, which is the non-canted version of the Bare Asset depicted in DawgFVR's post above). This is a very low-riding holster, which is what I wanted for concealment purposes. A higher riding holster would make for a faster draw, but it'd print against the front of my shirt more too.

Despite lacking a reinforced mouth, I can easily reholster one-handed with this when carrying appendix. If I were carrying strong side, I would definitely want a holster with a reinforced mouth for easier reholstering - makes for much easier fast-draw practice.

Love this holster. I'm 5'11", 170.

smartcarry with a gun that big definitely will depend heavily on your clothing choice. i can do smartcarry with some of my baggier, higher-waisted pants but that's it.

One of the things I love bout this site. You ask a question...bet on getting a couple of smarty smart remarks...then a bunch of great opinions. I use a Galco that works for both my g26 and cz pcr. Can not recall the model name and I can not seem to see it on the holser. It is IWB and has a clip on to belt.

I think I have spent about as much on holster rigs as I have on some of my guns.
