sporter, made in the 1960's but with a re-worked military trigger. The rifle was re-barreled to .308 Win, has very good workmanship. I just installed an old US made Redfield 2x7 on heavy rings and I think the trigger will be a real asset.

Anybody else like the Timney?

I had one on a Mauser action 30-06 quite a while ago. It was a significant improvement over the military one it replaced and I was quite satisfied with it. The fella I sold it to still uses it and claims the trigger is one of the best he has ever used, and he is another gun nut so it must still be good. I suspect you'll like it.

I have a Timney on an old Mauser made in 1952. It's a big improvement. Great trigger.

A few years ago I was building a 22-250 from the receiver up ... almost put a Timney on it but found a deal on commerical Parker-Hale trigger/bolt combos ... since I needed a bolt anyway, thats the way I went.

I did put a Timney on a 700 VSSF ... I could never get the factory trigger adjusted where I liked it, the Timney was sweet out of the box.

I have put a couple of Timney triggers on Mausers, worked great. Just be sure you don't set it too LIGHT, don't ask me how I know.

I was looking at other brands, but I decided that the Timney

has been around for decades, and always had a great reputation, and the price was right (Brownells).

Thanks.

Great product. Just put one on my Howa 1500 (took all of 10 min.) and it is a huge improvement. It came set at 2.5 lbs, and I haven't changed it.
