I need a owb holster for my model 19 2 1/2 in. and model 66 3in. barrel smiths. I was looking at Bianchi accumold and the also make a leather holster as well. What are your opinions/ suggestions?

I have a 2 1/2" mod 66. I am about to get a Hume Jit slide for it, I have Jit's for some of my other guns and they work well for me. The Jit has a neutral cant, so it could be used for crossdraw. Gunnersalley has the for $21.00, I think.

Go to some pawn shops and check for bargain bins at the gun stores in your areas. There are a TON (and by that I mean millions) of used cop holsters made by Safariland, Bianchi and others for 1/10th their original price for Smith & Wesson revolvers. The departments must have dumped them all en masse when they made the (foolish) switch over to bottom feeders.

I picked up a really nice Bianchi LEO style black leather holster and duty belt for my Model 13 for $15. Retail would have added a "0" on that I suspect.

SgtB,
great choice in revolvers.

I havea Bianchi Shadow II (model 7?) for my 4" S&W 66-5. You can get it lined as well. It has a thumb break.

Good luck

I had a Model 66 2.5", and I bought a Tex Shoemaker and Sons leather paddle holster. That puppy carried like a dream. The holster uses a straight paddle holster (as opposed to a paddle that flares out), and one snap loop for more positive belt attachment.

Their web address is www.texshoemaker.com. The particular holster cost me $75-80 dollars.

If you're interested in it, drop me an email or PM. I'll sell it for a good price. It's a great holster and I hate to see it go to waste. Mine is like new. It's black with a smooth finish.

Happy Holster Hunting!
