I'm looking for a first class holster for my .30 Carbine Blackhawk, which by definition has a 7 1/2" barrel. The first thing to show up in my web searches was:

Bianchi 1L Lawman Holster Colt Single Action Army, Ruger Blackhawk 7 1/2" Barrel Leather Tan
.

But there's chatter about the USA made v. Mexican made holsters. The US made product is evidently better made from better materials. Don't know which this is?

Also saw a more traditional Western holster:

Triple K 114 Cheyenne Western Holster Colt Single Action Army, Ruger Blackhawk 7 1/2" Barrel Leather.

Any suggestions?

El Paso Saddlery, Galco, Triple K, among many others, make top quality gunleather which will fit your 7.5" Blackhawk.

Color me sentimental, but if the style fits your fancy, a Hunter 1060 is one of my favorite single action holsters. Minimalist style, minimal coverage, it's not for everyone, but a pair of 1060's were my first CAS/SASS rig(s), and I still hold a soft place for them.

Have to admit, those Triple K cowboy holsters look mighty appealing. With their traditional Western look. Looked up the reviews on MidwayUSA and they did well, all 5 and 4 star reviews.

The Bianchi 1L lawman holster is a classic design that has been around for many years. Can't go wrong with something like a Tom Threeperson's holster from El Paso Saddlery either.

Bob, I think I found it:

Graveyard Jack looks like he's got the goods. Thanks for the link!

20160914_185806.jpg Graveyard Jack for the finest there is. I have one of his holsters. It is of the highest quality. I am quite proud of it.
If you settle for the Bianchi, it'll look like this.

I carry my 7-1/2" Super Blackhawk in an old S&W Model 22-07 holster...

It is nearly the same design as the Bianchi, and in fact may have been a Bianchi clone...From what I have read, Bianchi made holsters for S&W in the 60's before S&W bought their own facility...

This CME holster is for my 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 NM Blackhawks. I have a number of CMEs and am very happy with quality, price, communication, and delivery.

You aren't left handed by any chance are you? I have a Simply Rugged Sourdough for a Ruger Blackhawk 7.5" and no longer own the revolver. I would probably let it go for about $25 just to get it out of the holster box.

Sent Graveyard Jack a message thru his "contact" website about a week ago and have yet to hear anything from Graveyard. Has anyone had dealings with him?

My wife suggested he might have been affected by the TN fires?

Send him a PM on here, he is the user right above you, CraigC. He is in West TN, fires were East TN.

Sorry, when I put the notice on my website that I wasn't accepting new orders for 2016, I stopped checking email on that account. Please check back spring/summer 2017.

Sistema1927, I appreciate the offer but I'm right handed. Thanks anyway.

Now let me get this straight, CraigC is "Graveyard Jack"? Incredible!

I found one of the original Ruger flap holster at a gun show. They were made by Bianchi Leather years ago. These were quality leather in the Calvary tradition.

CraigC, how about the apotheosis of evil, Jack Wilson, a.k.a., "Two Guns Wilson"? From the GREATEST Western ever "Shane". Perhaps the GREATEST Western villain ever. Now reproduce that rig! And what are those grips made of?

Shane was a classic Western. But can you imagine anyone mounting and riding a horse with that gun belt and holsters?
The Colts would fall out and his legs would cramp so bad he would be a cripple.;) But heck, it is just a movie.

Answer: He only straps on that rig when he's working. When he's "gunning" someone.

Agreed; Jack Wilson was the embodiment of pure evil in a "hired gun"!

Still one of the best shoot-outs in Western movies, along with "The Magnificent Seven" (original version).
