I am looking for suggestions on grips for a model 13. I want something that fills in the space behind the trigger guard and no finger grooves.

Check out Altamont grips, they have a bunch of K/L frame options.

if you want rubber grips, Pachmayr Presentation grips work well. I have a set on a Model 66-2 and it has the 1980’s duty revolver look.

Stay safe.

I second Altamont grips. I have them on a model 14 and a model 65 and really like the feel of them.

Check Ebay. The Thai grips are quite nice and come in a large variety of styles

OP-
I whole-heartedly agree with your desire to find a grip WITH NO FINGER GROOVES. My hands are on the small side, and every time I try a finger grooved grip, the spacing between the grooves is (for me) incorrect, so I'm forced to rest one of my fingers ON the groove crest.
Be careful in your choices.

Maybe try looking on ebay for Kim Ahrends Retro Combat Grips. He's no longer in the grip business but when he was he turned out some very nice and relatively inexpensive grips.

I will second bannockburn’s recommendation for Ahrends grips—my favourite model was the Retro Target. As for more-easily available grips, I’ve got a set of VZ grips on my CS-1 that I really like—they’re the only finger-groove grips that fit me. The good news for you is that the square-frame model doesn’t have any grooves.

I have a number of K and L frame S&W revolvers and my preference is for the HOGUE rubber grips. Nothing else fits my hand as well and they moderate recoil as well, in my opinion. I think they are the best choice for a defense revolver or general use.

I have also used some wooden grips that were shaped like HERRETT Jordan stocks with a palm swell. They shot very well for me.

Ahrends are my suggestion if you can find them. They are my absolute favorite and I have them on 5 Smith's. Gripseller on Ebay has several sets listed. He used to bulk order from Kim and resell them so he's probably the last place left to get them. Unfortunately they are even more expensive now than they were, and it seems like when used sets pop up they go high as well.

Is making some grips similar to the Ahrends now. I ordered a set of their unfinished K/L square fingergroove from their Ebay store for $45 to see how they are.

The police surplus Model 10-6 I bought off Buds had these rubber grips called Trausch on them. I don't have a good picture of mine, so let me steal one off of Google.

Credit to whatever gentleman posted that on 24 Hour Campfire.

They don't look the greatest, but they feel awesome. No finger grooves and a thumb shelf is perfect to me. It's one of those things where you pick it up and it just immediately feels right. The best way I can describe it is like a Hogue grip but better.

They're not in production any more. I actually googled it to buy more, and it sounds like these Trausch grips were a cottage business, then when Mr. Trausch died about 10 years back they just closed up shop. So the grips are something you'd have to hunt for on the secondary market.

This is my EDC Model 19. The grips are modern S&W's junky Magna styles, and the insert is marked "Lyman". I can just about guarantee that Lyman didn't make them. I found them on eBay while searching for T grips. The combination just happens to fit me perfectly, though, and if I didn't have them I would be scouring eBay to get them.

I picked up a pachmayr 2M on ebay for my Reeder. Now I need to find one for my Smith model 13.

I have Pach Compacs on my 13-3 RB for use with .357 loads. Available on ebay

Pach Presentations (these are the target style) are also ok but not ideal for CC

For .38, I have a set of Ahrends Combat w/finger grooves that I rasped down to remove the grooves and to better fit me. If you have the skills you can re work many varieties of cheaper ebay wood grips to your own tastes

Here is my idea for a nice grip that both fills space behind the trigger, is slimmer and less bulky than the S&W target grips and doesn't have finger grooves. Altamont Roper Style grips in olive wood
Thank you for that link! I was looking for something better than the horrible rubber things that came on my S& W M69. Those are perfect.
