K98: Home made short eye relief scope mount w/o altering the gun....

I wanted to scope my Mauser with a regular rifle scope but didn't want to alter the gun. All I could find were mounts for a scout scope and scout scopes didn't seem to have the magnification I wanted. So, I added a tactical rail to an SK Insta-Mount. I need the rings but the mount is solid as a rock. It's a little high but now I'll be able to see exactly what I'm aiming at.

where did you get the SK insta-mount. i have put a new stock on my rifle, and it has a high montecarlo comb on the back, so now, i cant use the sights, buit i dont have the money to but a scope driller and tapper jig. thanks, brian

The piece cost about $45-$50. Take out the rear sight and the Insta Mount snaps right in.
