From the Kahr website:

The Kahr CW380 is now shipping!!

The Kahr CM45 will start shipping in 1st Qtr 2014.

The first batch of CW380s left the factory the last week of October. Additional shipments will be headed out the door in November.

The Kahr CM4543 is scheduled to start shipping in March 2014.

Thanks for everyone's patience while we worked to fill customers' orders with current models that were heavily backordered since December 2012.

Maybe i can get one in time for Christmas?

If that is the tiny $500+ DAO 9x17 with stainless slide and plastic frame I have handled couple at LGS about year ago.

No, if you notice the OP said they are now shipping, which would mean it is a new gun.

Kahr has a CW line of guns which are lower priced than their PM counterparts

wouldn't touch this one yet.

The P series had lots of negative and the CW was suppose to go out a while ago. The year lag makes me think they had it wrong.

Course this is coming from the guy who had a crappy PM40.

Better wake up you think any one advertises only when ready to ship. They all want lots of advertising time for per gun sales. Heck to all do it.

I have seen one at gun show table yesterday for $329. It's well worth the price.

Picked one up at a gun show yesterday. I put 200 rounds through it today. I had 2 failure to go into battery in the first 100 rounds. The second 100 rounds were flawless.

And some might understand that no problems would translate to "flawless". I had no problems in the second 100 rounds. I indicated the hiccups I experienced in the first 100.
I get it it,you don't like Kahrs. I have owned 3 other Kahr pistols a CW9 and 2 W45s. This is the first one that needed the prescribed 200 round break in. I won't carry it until I run 200 more through it without any problems.

I trust mine a whole lot more after 20 outings each with more rounds than I'd normally be carrying that I would after a string N rounds. As far as I'm concerned, started with a cleaned pistol, failures 2X or more after the number of rounds I'd be carrying don't really matter to me with a sub-compact as they will never hit the reliability of the larger guns, they help you always meet the first rule of a gunfight -- Have a gun!

Outings as carried at longer and longer intervals between firing builds my confidence even more. This takes time so while I love trying new guns I'm loathe to change carry guns without serious real improvement.

Thank you for your report!!! Please keep us posted. Yours is the first real person range report that I've seen. The ONLY other review out there is by Jeff "never met a gun he didn't love" Quinn.

The last 2 range trips have been very good. I put 50 rounds of assorted ammo through it each time with no problems of any kind. I don't expect there to be a lot of problems with the CW380 line. I think most have been ironed out in the P380 series.
