kahr MK9

I just bought this MK9 Duo tone. Does anyone know about these were they a limited run?? I bought it NIB w/Night sites for 450.00 Thought that was a good deal so grabbed it. very nice little gun. I am going to shoot it this weekend and cant wait. I still cannot believe the size of this thing man is it small for a 9mm.. Oh well looking forward to hearing some comments. I could not find any info on Kahr website about this model.

Mine's an all stainless and currently sitting in the safe with recoil spring problems and God knows what else!!!

I have a PM9 (plastic) and it is awesome. I have a P7M8 and a P99 that I like better, but the PM9 gets carried on a daily basis. Reliable and accurate. Hard kicking little mother though!

I have one exactly like your.
They were a slightly cheaper version of the std. Mk9, your is called the Mk9 Duo.
My slide had a heat treating problem and had to go back, Kahr swapped out the carbon steel slide for a blackened stainless slide.
Excellent little pistols.

There was an early limited edition version with Birdsong Black-T coating on the slide. I have some information on this. Post the begiinning of the serial number, please, to help determine whether that's what you've got. (Put a couple of x's in place of the last two numbers for anonymity.)

I don't have the info here on this computer, but I'm pretty sure that's not the early limited edition. I believe that those s/ns began with (are you ready?) LTDxxx Somewhere I've got the ad; I believe it was either 1500 or 500 guns, back around 1998 or maybe 1997. I can look it up tonight or tomorrow if there's interest.

You are probably correct. I just checked the shell casing that came with it and it said 2002. So I believe mine probably is not one of those Limited runs. But thanks for all your help.
