How many rounds do you have through your Kel-tec P-32? What problems have you had with it? Just wondering how much shooting one of these will hold up to. Thanks for your input.

I have 400 through my P32. The only problems I had were an occasional stove-pipe, but after a Fluff & Buff, it has been perfect now with over 300 rounds. I think Kel-Tec says 6,000 rounds is the life expectancy of the P32. Great little pistol.

over a decade ago I think it was, I had a P32. it was 100 with FMJ from day one and rim locked with hollow points a few times when I tried those.

I've put close to 2k rounds thru mine without any problems. Just limit hollow points to one in the chamber and one on top of the mag. to prevent rimlock. European ammo is loaded hotter than most American ammo, Fiocchi, S & B are a few.

I love having mine, but I've only got a couple or so boxes through it. Ammo isn't easy to come by around these parts anymore (backorder placed last month at Midway.)

One case of rimlock, using WWB flat-nose FMJ. No other issues.

I bought one of the first ones to come out (literally - was s/n under 150) way back when and that POS wouldn't fire three rounds without jamming.

Got sent back to the factory where they rebuilt everything but the serial number.

When it came back it worked okay, but isn't much fun to shoot.

Still have it, almost never carry it but have to admit it has it's niche.

I think Kel-Tec says 6,000 rounds is the life expectancy of the P32.
Gah! The life expectancy of my hand is WAY less than that for shooting that miserable little gat.

I've owned my Kel-Tec P-32 1st gen for about 10 years.
Have about 3000 rounds through it, with 6 stoppages (all magazine related).
It's my main pocket gun. (carried in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster)

I had one, or actually I had two, but when the P3AT came out in essentially the same size gun I moved up to the 380 round.

The P32 was fine with fmj but I did have a couple of rimlock episodes with jhp.

I just got P-32 and except for soft reloads, it has been flawless for 150 rounds (I said it was new). I have fired a mix of factory and reloads.

I increased the powder charge a little which fixed the reload problems.

I've had a P32 since about when they first came out. Couldn't guess how many rounds have gone through it but no where near 1,000.

I also have the P3AT and several other Kel Tecs.

Just wondering how much shooting one of these will hold up to. Thanks for your input
It really doesn't matter how much shooting you do. If the gun doesn't "hold up" Kel Tec will repair or rebuild it.

A few years ago I sent in my worn out P3AT to Kel Tec.
They replaced everything on the gun except the barrel and plastic grip.
They even put my gun's number on a new receiver.
Then they polished the barrel and paid for the shipping back to me.

My total cost for a better than new gun was the shipping to Kel Tec.

I have owned mine for years, don't count the actual rounds fired but at least 750 probably many more.
I had a couple rimlocks but learned to slow down refilling the magazines & no problems since.
Have had a few malfunctions, always with US made & lower powered ammunition, +1 on Winchester flatnose FMJ being a major turd round best suited to shooting in break top suicide special .32 s&w caliber revolvers.

Best function has been with GECO, RWS, Sellier & Bellot, and Privi-Partisan FMJs and in that order.

I use Tetra gun grease, no oil.
I did replace the takedown pin and recoil spring & Kel-Tec did send me the replacements at no charge.
They didn't even ask for the old parts back though I offered.
When I told them the serial number the phone rep said, "Yeah, about time to change those." :)

My P3AT had Part of a rail brake off and KelTec replaced the pistol without charge.

I stopped counting rounds through it after 3,000, so not sure how many it had when the rail broke.

I never used any oil or grease on the pistol because I carried in the pocket and did not want to attract lint. I used Z50 dry lube for the entire 3,000 plus rounds.

I've owned on since the first year they came out, never counted the rounds thru it, but I can say I have never had a problem with either the gun or ammo used. I use hollow points and they feed smoothly and reliable, I have never had a FTF or FTE.

Onmilo, that is good to know, but, I don't want to have to send one back in once a year. Thus, my concern about how they hold up.

Depends on how often you shoot it. It's not intended as a range gun:) Test it fire different ammo. make sure it works then carry it.

If you worry about rim lock with 32 ACP HP or just do as mentioned 1 in the chamber and one in the mag, buy the little spacer they sell. Probably better to just carry FMJ in a 32 ACP

Kel Tecs, "Are like a Box of Chocolates, you never know what you will get". Some work right out of the box some need to be sent back. Once they "fix" them they are pretty reliable for what they are.

As to problems, will it's a long list. Some just work others have multitude of issues. My 32 went back 3 times, My 380 worked out of the box.

With the Ruger LCP there is no real reason to buy a KT, the Ruger is what the KT should have been. Plus the 380 is a bit better than the 32 ACP.
JMHO

Hundreds.

None.

It's my constant companion: Wallet, Phone, and Pistol get slipped into my pocket every morning. The best handgun is the one you have, and this one is the one I always have.

M2 Carbine, how may rounds to wear out a p3at?
I don't know.
I almost never count rounds.
About the only time I actually kept track of rounds fired is when I bought the first Ruger LC9 and put over a thousand rounds through it in eight days.

Offhand I can't remember what broke causing me to send in the P3AT.

Some years back I called Kel Tec about my P-11. I had the 40 S&W conversion. It was hard on the gun and the shooter.
I asked KT,
If the gun becomes unsafe, in my opinion, to shoot can/will KT rebuild the gun and what will it cost me?
They said,
When you think the gun should not be shot anymore, send it to us and we will rebuilt it at no cost.

The P-11 never wore excessively because I stopped shooting 40 S&W.
Some time after that I sent in the P3AT and they did as they said they would.
I still have the P3AT but can't remember the last time I shot it.

My 1st-gen P-32 has close to 1000 rounds through it by now, and while it was reliable previously it's been a bit tempermental as of late. However it could be due to the USA-made ammo I've been mostly finding lately, which I agree is junk compared to the foreign stuff. I shoot FMJ almost exclusively through it, not just because of rimlock fears but also because I think putting a hollow tip in a tiny .32 bullet is a morale booster at best.

I've never bothered to count rounds through my P32, but it's moot because I'm the second owner anyway. Mine has worked fine with all ammo I've put in it. I have one mag with the spacer that I use for flat-nose or hollowpoints, and I've never had a problem.

EDIT TO ADD: Mine is a first-generation.

If a guy feels more confident with a hollowpoint who am I to tell him he is wasting his money in these smaller calibers?
I don't even use hollowpoint .22s for hunting because I like to eat right up to the bullet hole

To all here. Which extractor do you feel is better? The older or the newer extractor. Do you see more issues with the newer extractor on the guns? I have to say that I am not too impressed with the tork screw extractor system. Too many loose screws causing issues. I always felt that the 32 acp kel tec was the most reliable of all the kel tec guns, with the older extractor.
