I have a sub2000 glock9 version that I have > 6000 rounds through. Absolutely no problems with the gun other than too many range folks asking how I can shoot 3" circles all day with cheap 9mm handgun ammo at 50 yards.

The other day I was at the indoor range blasting off my 8 33 round mags, and one mag was burst firing. I pulled the trigger 3 times and there were 4 to 6 burst firing going on. thank god it was a range where you could shoot full auto and it was loud, so nobody noticed....but.

this is now unsafe to single shot fire. anyone know what part is worn to create 3-6 round bursts with a single pull of the trigger? as much as i like it, it's not legal and like to have all my hardware tuned properly.

Not that it helps the problem at all, but I had 2 five round bursts that were so fast that they stayed within a 4inch circle even without me expecting it. Gotta love the low recoil of these sub 9mms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, it had me thinking, select fire sear for a subHuhHuh how cool would that be. i'd easily pay a 200 tax and a few bucks for a sear mod by Kel-Tec for that. It would by far be the coolest ful auto 9mm dumper out there since the crap uzi.

At first I suspected cookoff, since I had just dumped 4 33 round mags within a couple minutes and the barrel was hot, but I have never ever heard of a chamber that could light a 9mm casing in anything.

Funnier thing, when it cooled down, I shot 3 more 33round mags, not a hitch. HuhHuh Hm can you real cook off a 9mm round ( best guess - not on your life). worn parts are cool

Oh yes, and if anyone like small carbines, this Kel-Tec

Sub2000 folds to 16inches, had a flip up optic spring on an accurate system that I can shoot touching holes at 50 yards with good ammo with my 35.00 high tech scope (target sports). With wally world white box it only shoots 3-4inch patterns at a 1hz rate all day at 50 yards. My most accurate, reliable quickest shooting POS in my collection other than my Ruger 10/22. I have most of the SAR, AR, AK, Mosin, and other popular mil or battlefield calibre rifles available, and this keeps up with all of them. Cheap, high cap, dirty, fun carbine. I don't know if I got a lucky barrel, or these are just good guns, but the 9mm luger round is accurate if you twist if right. that's all i know.

I fold it up and take it camping.

Whatever part retains the hammer (sear?) is the part that is worn. The hammer isn't locking back. I'd send it back to Kel-Tec or bring it to a gunsmith. Or move to Nigeria or Sudan, where they won't care if your Kel-Tec has a happy switch :)

KT has great customer service, send it to them.

They had my P3AT back in my hands in LESS than 2 weeks time, that included the shipping time.

"...glock9..." A Kel-Tec. The sear and likely the hammer are worn and need replacing. 6,000 plus rounds can do that to any semi-auto. You'll have to send the parts to Kel-Tec for replacements. Fortunately, you have a 'life time' warrantee. Go here. http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/
"...dumped 4 33 round mags within a couple minutes..." That's likely the cause of your damage.

Yep, send it in. Interesting story anyway. It's not too often you hear of guns going auto on you (Well, unless its an sks anyway). Saw it happen once on a handgun, though not one of mine. I have a Sub2k in .40, I do hope mine doesn't do that.
