A buddy of mine has this in 40 cal. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how rugged and reliable this weapon is.

I have heard horror stories about kel tec before and Ive also heard good things but thats only been about pistols. So any help will be appreciated.

thanks,

i think people have less problems with the sub2k than some other keltec's

I dont have one, but I want one!

:)

I love mine bought from a member here.
The only "horror story" if you can call it that, is it doesnt like the 33 round Scherer mags. They need to be factory Glock 18 mags.

Plus I have the G17 to boot. My only two 9 mo mo.

If they would make one in 45 I would probably buy it.

I had a few double feeds in mine during the first 100 rds. After that I have not had any problems. I would love one in .45 also.

I have really liked mine. It has low recoil, its accurate, and quick shooting. I have a Glock 17 and it it nice to be able to share magazines. It is loads of fun with the Glock 18 mags.

How do you expect anyone to give your opinions any weight?

Never really gave any thought on how you feel about my opinions:rolleyes:
Actually my comment was a little private joke between me and the OP

Love the Sub2000 in 9mm. You can fit it in a nice sized laptop computer bag or business case. Great home defense gun, plinking gun and excellent "car gun"

NOTE: This is no substitute for a serious battle rifle or .45 cal 1911 and such.

I highly recommend keeping it stored in your vehicle, with 3 17rd mags (from CDNN Investments), plus the standard 10 rd mag already locked. You can easily lug this package around to and from your car or truck, floor boards, house, work, hotel, where ever, without attracting any attention.

I down load my 17 rd mags by two since the springs are so dang strong, and VOILA!....have 55 rounds "at the ready" 10 in the grip and 3 x 15 rds in the bag. Funny thing is, though, if you ever have to use 55 rds of ammo somewhere OTHER than the range, you better be moving your butt quickly to some place with serious cover while doing so, or to an armory with 7.62x39mm, 30-06, .50cal or mortars!

Pick one up for $325 or so, plus a few accessories and you have a FUN, but highly functional medium-caliber carbine. Never had a single hiccup while at the range. However, I never used much more than the Winchester White Box, and some 100 rds of JHP, just to test it out...nothing but WWB 9mm FMJ since.

Love it, love it, love it.
