Keltec P-32 Price Check

Every gun shop I've visted here in WA has them for $299. I've been noticing prices are really high on the west coast, not just in CA.

If thats close to right a man could make a lot of money by buying guns in Oregon and selling them in Cali.

How hard is that to do legally?

Not too hard if you have a valid FFL.

Since, Kel-Tec is not on the CA DOJ BOF "approved" list, you can not legally buy a Kel-Tec from a FFL dealer.

They are legal to buy via PPT (Private Party Transfer), which is a FTF (Face To Face) transaction faciliated by a CA FFL dealer.

As a resident from another state moving into CA, you can legally bring with you any handgun not on the "approved" list (except "assault weapons") and sell them via PPT.

So, yes, you can make some money selling them, along with other handguns not on the "approved" list. But, it would require that you move to CA and establish residency there.

Kel-Tecs being sold in CA, were either purchased before the "approved" list was created, brought into the state by new residents or bought by LEOs & then sold to the public. Since, supply is low and demand it high, they typically go for 2-4 times what they are worth. Last time, I saw one for sale, it was a NIB 1st gen P-32 which sold within 3 days for $700. I bought mine (used 1st gen P-32, 3 mags, 2 holsters) from a LEO for $300 (friend price).

I thought of that after I posted my response. I figured someone would correct me if I was wrong. Thanks.

Just another reason I moved out of California.

Don't buy it cheap junk Would not trust my life on it

Is this based on experience or just random bashing? I own one and have been putting some lead down range lately and it does just fine. I carry it in a pocket and it all but disappears. Is it the best self-defense round? No, but it is with me all of the time now whether I have another gun with me or not. I did a lot of reading about the little pistol before I bought it and there are many who swear by this gun (including many LEO that carry it as backup).

That answers your question Phydeaux, brand bashing troll who doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. I have owned Taurus and SMith snubbies. I absolutely trust my P32. I'm trading off my .38 as we speak. I haven't carried it once since I bought my P32. They are terrific pocket pistol.

I bought my P32 used for 200 bucks. I've put several hundred rounds through it with NO problems of any type. Even with its limited caliber and size it is easy to shoot and reload quickly. Five rounds of .38 and one awkward reload or seven rounds of .32 with two magazines ready for a rapid reload in a lighter and more compact package. I'll take the latter. Honestly, after carrying a snub .38 for years I really have no use for them anymore. They do little that a nice .380 or even .32 cant do even better.
