I just got a .22 conversion kit. Haven't fired it yet (have to find a range) I did install it on a ss goldcup frame it seems to fit well. Before I shoot it other than cleaning it what kind of lube should I use on it? Any other tips would be welcomed also. Thanks in advance lost....

Be prepared to try several kinds of ammo. They can be finicky. Mine liked CCI MiniMags.

I have the Kimber conversion. It needs a quality HV ammo to cycle properly. CCI Minimags or better. I guess some may work with lesser quality so don't get upset if yours does not like an specific ammo that you like or have on hand. Find what it likes and have fun! Also, make sure you use the slide lock that came with it. A standard M1911 slide lock will cause you major headaches (ask me how I know!).

I would use a lighter oil, and a good amount of it. And minimags (or golden bullets) work best in my .22 1911 uppers. I don't have a Kimber though FWIW.
