Knife Center SHOT Summary

thanks for the recap!
they didn't include kershaw, I guess because they released a week earlier. but what interested me most from this years releases are
kershaw livewire
cjrb ekko
we navo
civivi sokoke

the ekko is still in prototyping, so probably the sokoke will get my dollars. unless that kershaw OTF reviews well and I can find one on the secondary market for around $150. spyderco and benchmade, you have lost your minds with pricing.

prototyping

I understand the marketing value of SHOT, but I have always resented companies with products, knives especially, that aren't available to order at SHOT. I'm ok if a company has a few production prototypes tweaking the manufacturing at SHOT, but if you're still figuring out fundamentals don't put it out there.

I agree totally. I was irritated by many of the presentations on video, especially those that said, available late summer/third quarter. I see no excuse whatsoever for no prices determined yet. If you don’t have your act together, don’t bring it. Release it when it is ready, even if you have to wait till next SHOT or Blade Show.

I used to be a buyer in a different retail industry and I could Not stand this kind of I’ll preparedness. They are supposed to be there to take orders and show their wares, not their maybe’s.

Rant off
