In another thread I posted a picture of a McCurdy kukri I got back recently from having a sheath made for it. It's a guaranteed monster in size, seems like it in toughness for the little I've used it, too. However, Summer's half over and I have a whole class I need to design before school's out (there isn't currently a curriculum for the type of Creative Writing class I want to teach my High Schoolers so my district is letting me design one from the ground up) and I still have re-certification and district inservice to go through before the new school year starts. Bottom line, I'm not going to be able to put this thing to much use any time soon. Somebody should.
Here's my offer: I'm willing to let people here pass it around with the idea that it comes back to me sometime around next May. Post here that you'd like to use it, the first one gets it shipped by me to them. If you want it, make a comment so whoever has it knows who to send it to next. Use it, abuse it, beat the ever loving crap out of it, chop down a redwood or just get some firewood. Post a few pics of you using it, give us a review of how you think it works, suggestions about what you like and dislike about it, etc. Find the next person who wants it, PM them to make sure they still want it, and send it off.
I trust you'll all use it well. You're not going to break it, you're not likely to damage it, but if so, do your best to re-sharpen a rolled edge or whatever. If it breaks, just send it back to me. I won't blame or criticize anyone. Again, you are not responsible for damage done to this. I mean this completely.
My only stipulation is that you must be of legal age, that it is legal for you to have this where you are, and you will not do anything illegal or unethical with it (don't hurt anyone or cause damage to something you're not allowed to.)
