LAPD Prepares for Suicide Bombers

Yeah Longeyes, don't take it so literal. For the most part people will be willing to help people. Part of all that talk is rural vs. urban chest thumping.

Now is there is a catastrophic disaster and Los Angeles disappears into a vapor cloud, TV isn't going to matter much. The crap being imported in from China to the Port of Los Angeles isn't going to matter much. Life as we know it is going to get a lot less comfy and a lot more practical.

Urban vs. Rural might be counterproductive, but it is what it is. When urban America pulls their heads out of their butts and starts voting for freedom and liberty and stops trying to make all of America a socialist utopian dreamland, I will start feeling sorry for urban dwellers when they get bit by their choosen lifestyle. AKA, I am tired of Los Angeles ruining this state.

And I'm not in the terrorism business but if badguys really want to make sure I-5 ain't operational they are smart enough to figure out a way to keep repairs from happening.
Ah, a classic line I keep running into around here. The terrorists are so smart and so capable and there is not much we can do to stop them. If the terrorists could shut down I-5 and keep it shut down, throwing California's economy, and the entire West Coast for that matter, into chaos and turmoil, then why haven't they done it yet? If suicide bombings and train attacks are so hard to stop and so effective for the terrorists to shut down our way of life, why haven't they been doing it? I contend that they don't have the assets in place that so many of us seem to think they do.

If the terrorists shut down I-5, we would try and open it back up. Are the terrorists going to set up a fire team and harrass the construction crews with combat? Most doubtful. Will they run explosive ladden cars into the construction workers? Once or twice before we start seeing checkpoints and the Muslin population in California is quashed. Al Qaeda doesn't have unlimited resources and agents in America. They are under intense scrutiny and operational security is a huge concern. I contend they are not as capable as we tend to make them out as. If they were, I think we would hear from them more often.

Hey, I don't want L.A. running California either. I'm sure y'all realize not everyone in L.A. is a leftwing wacko or even a classic "prevert." Some of us are almost normal and have been known to visit the Angeles ranges for some R&R.

Now if I want to enjoy the pristine delights of non-urban life, there's always the countryside for a near-meth experience, not to mention pushing the ethical envelope. :neener:

Enumclaw-area animal-sex case investigated

By Jennifer Sullivan
Seattle Times staff reporter

King County sheriff's detectives are investigating the owners of an Enumclaw-area farm after a Seattle man died from injuries sustained while having sex with a horse boarded on the property.

Investigators first learned of the farm after the man died at Enumclaw Community Hospital July 2. The county Medical Examiner's Office ruled that the death was accidental and the result of having sex with a horse.

A surveillance camera picked up the license plate of the car that dropped the man off at the hospital, which led detectives to the farm and other people involved, said sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart.

Deputies don't believe a crime occurred because bestiality is not illegal in Washington state and the horse was uninjured, said Urquhart.

But because investigators found chickens, goats and sheep on the property, they are looking into whether animal cruelty — which is a crime — was committed by having sex with these smaller, weaker animals, he said.

The farm was talked about in Internet chat rooms as a destination for people looking to have sex with livestock, he said.

"A significant number of people, we believe, have likely visited this farm," said Urquhart.

The Humane Society of the United States intends to use the case during the next state legislative session as an example of why sex with animals should be outlawed in Washington, said Bob Reder, a Humane Society regional director in Seattle.

"This and a few other cases that we have will allow us a platform to talk about sex abuse of animals," Reder said.

Thirty-three states ban sex with animals, he said.

Susan Michaels, co-founder of local animal-rights organization Pasado's Safe Haven, said she has been fighting to have bestiality made illegal. "It's animal cruelty behind closed doors," Michaels said.

Two weeks later, more attacks. So how is this going to play out? Are Britains going to stop being nice to Muslims and start cracking down? How many more bombers are in the country? Since they are making so many hits in London, why isn't it happening here? These are interesting times we are living in.

I predict there is a tipping point out there where citizens (not government) push back. I wonder if it will the Brits push back first.

BTW, I heard a report about the latest festivities that one of the goons was chased by Brits after his device when "pop".

With this shooting of a suspected terrorists in the subway, could this be the beginning of the Arab backlash I predicted? So this guy was a suspect. What if it turns out he wasn't really packing explosives. What if it turns out he was only loosely associated with the bombings? How many more are the Brits going to execute? What will it do for the general population as they get tougher on these extremists as Britains have to live in fear? Not that the Britains have many civil rights anyway, but you can expect the Arabs in England to start being a little more cautious and looked at a lot harder. Let the fun and games begin.

It appears it is the backlash. The suspect had no connection to the bombings. The Muslim/Arab population of England is now on notice. "We shoot first and ask questions later." Being Muslim/Arab in England is about to become dangerous and so far the government/police are leading the charge. Lets see if they keep the bombings up now. My prediction is with the intense scrutiny, the bombings will stop and Muslim/Arab rights are going to go down the toilet.
