Ok...now that I have your attention;
All of these "Peoples Republik of" states like Colrado, Illinois, **********, Neu Yark, etc...well they are making it illegal to own any type of what they refer to as "assault weapons" or weapons that hold more than "X" amount of "bullets" :crazy: so....what happens in one of these states when they decide to pass a "safe firearms" law that makes it illegal to manufacture one of these EBR's??? Would Colt have enough backbone to tell Connect-a-cut ..."up yours" and then pack up and move to Georgia? I mean....this could be a next move.

Well, that depends, kind of. If there were a provision to manufacture it for governemt or LE agencies, maybe a few manufacturers could hold out.

But it would completely kill Colt's entire civilian market.

So, yeah. Aside from some companies that may make only shotguns and bolt-action rifles, any manufacturer would have to pack up and move just to save their business.

States can pass any stupid laws they want up to the point that they either conflict with federal law or the constitution. Would banning semi autos be unconstitutional? Probably not as long as some guns were legal. The SCOTUS would decide that.
