I have posted before that the lcp isn't the the pistol that I would typically look forward to buying. I don't find it appealing to my personal taste. I am more of a 1911 guy.
But if you consider it's reliability, light weight, thin design, rounded edges, potential accuracy, price, and durability...I think it's a good choice for edc.
The extended 7rd mag helps the grip.
Hey, I like the little knife.
Where'd you get it?
I agree with you about the LCP.
The first couple of times I saw some being used, it was during qual ranges for guys using off-duty weapons. The LCP's were ugly, but they worked.
Then, a longtime friend of mine - (also retired peace officer, SE Asia vet and also my original martial arts instructor more than 40 years ago) - happened to mention he'd bought a LCP. This is a guy who shoots everyday on his own rural property range, and who typically carries 2 or 3 guns. He seemed a little sheepish to admit he'd bought a .380, but he said it impressed him because of how easily he could pocket it and how reliable it had proven for him. I examined and borrowed his, and then drove down to the local cop shop to buy one of my own. It was blued one produced after the recall, but before the later revision (trigger & sights).
I really liked that little LCP when I began putting it through its paces while working range sessions.
I liked it so much I went down and ordered a stainless one with the revised sights and trigger ... and I like that one a LOT.
I can run the stainless LCP through typical 3-15yds range courses-of-fire as easily as I can run my 5-shot snubs, whichw as pleasantly surprising.
Both of my LCP's feed & function with an assortment of JHP's I commonly use, and are a lot more accurate than I'd expected for such itty bitty plastic .380's.
Bottom line? When some of my pants/jeans pockets are too short to conceal one of my J-frame snubs, the LCP slips into that pocket, holstered, just fine. They let me carry a retirement weapon when my smallest centerfire revolvers aren't small enough. The .380 ACP obviously wouldn't be my first choice over the heavier bullet weights I can use in the .38 S&W Spl snubs, but it's something I trust more than a .25 or .32 pistol.
Again ... nice knife.
