Just curious, is anyone else having difficulty getting some of your brass into the shell holder in this caliber? I have a couple of Lee shell holders and they both cause a random tight fit getting brass to seat. Doesn't seem to matter what brand either. My RCBS shell holder works fine.

Just wondering.

Nope.
Look for burs in the slot or edges.
Clean them up and radius the edges with a needle file.

I got a lee 357 shell holder that gives me problems mostly with PMC brass.

I`ve looked & looked & even tried to measure the difference but I can`t see it !!!!:uhoh:

Yup, PMC brass is the culprit here too.
I notice it mostly in .223 rem. Some of it was so bad I just pitched it into the brass recycle pile.

The only time I have problems is when the brass heads are banged up by the extractor or whatever. Are you using the Lee hand primer? The holders for them are the same dimensions as the their shell holders. I have found dirt and crud in the groves before, cleaned them out with a jewelers screwdriver easily.

Almost all my dies and shell holders are Lee BTW

Nope, it just seems that the tolerances are tighter on the Lee 357 shell holder. The ones that hang in the Lee fit into the RCBS no problem. As a matter of fact I have 3 Lee shell holders for 357 mag and if a case hangs in one it hangs in all three. It's not a big deal, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed.

One more thing, I haven't seen this issue in any other Lee shell holders, just the 357. Weird.

Most of my reloading items are Lee products, and I've noticed a tighter fit with my .357 shellholders also. Can't say I've noticed it with my other shellholders.

not in 357, but I have had some issues with a few Win brass in 38spl.
