Expert help needed.

Has anyone improved upon the plastic carrier for this press? I am asking because I have 1200 rounds through mine 9mm and I am on my second carrier. The case feeder ledge keeps getting dented hurting the smoothness of operations.

That is a link to the carrier. It is on their website but out of stock so I decided to call them, they told me to call Lee. The nice lady on the phone told me to call Titan until I explained wait they told me to call you. I explained the situation and she said we will send you 1 out asap but it will only be one after this you have to pay for them. I purchased this press to do 1 caliber just 9mm and since there is no lifetime warranty I have to pay I get all that. But does anyone know of a more robust design has anyone 3D printed one yet?

This is a bit sad to me as I have had a lee 4 hole turret press for 15 years and have not had to replace one part including the ratchet everyone says should be replaced. It has seen 1000's of 44mag, 38special, 357Mag and 460 Magnum.

What other upgrades have you made to your breech lock pro?

The only modification I've made was to install a slightly weaker detent spring. That helped with powder flying out of the case while indexing. I have thousands of rounds through it with no issues with the plastic parts. Now I do completely disassemble, clean and lubricant mine once a month.

Thank you for the link going to look at it now. I have the 4 tubes also, my case feeder gets really jerky. I have read that you should disconnect the spring for storage after use because it pulls up on the plastic slide.

I have smashed mine twice also . When you put your carrier on at mid stroke can you wobble it ?

Mine does but I can't remember how it used to be . Lines up and works good though .
I did do the boiling the primer slider to make it pick primers up better .

My first safety prime on a turret press worked good . Second on pro 4000 didn't .
I said slider that was not correct wording .
Whatever you call the piece that moves the primers .
He does it at 4:30 in the video .

I have both the Pro1000 and the Pro4000 ABLP and found the best solution is to just keep using the Pro1000 with the Diecast carrier. Sure wish they would go back to the old design.
