Brand new , just mounted it and the ram (non adjustable) does not align up with the primer arm on the base of the press... The rotating turret and ram line up just fine... It's the the ram / to primer arm that doesn't. Searched around a bit and it seems that there are two slightly different versions of this lee turret press , one has an adjustment on the ram and one does not ..

Any thoughts?

Thanks

The ram, and slot for the priming arm, on yours is offset like the LCT. I believe you have the Value Turret. I'm thinking it should be at the 6 O'clock position. Almost like they installed the ram from a different model.

I agree, a call to Lee looks necessary.

The priming arm does not drop into that slot. Perhaps the slot is a chute for spent primers? Mebe not. The primer arm rides in the ram and when the ram is lowered the protruding portion of the arm hits the frame and tilts the arm into priming position. Put the priming arm in the ram and cycle the ram up and down and see how it works...

Like mdi said above ^^^

It appears to sit in the ram itself...thanks

This is the Auto Index turret, not the Value press or anything else.

Nothing is wrong.

When they made the Auto Index version of the turret press they used the base from the existing Pro 1000.
That slot on the base is the shellplate carrier recess on the P1000. Ignore it, it has nothing to do with your turret.

Nothing is wrong.

I've said it before, I'll say it again....
The vast majority of problems with Lee equipment is failure to read the instructions.

On my LCT, the primer arm slot IS NOT at a directly square 6 o'clock position. It is turned at a slightly clockwise angle closer to 6:30. There is a purpose to that. Watch carefully how it functions. It helps prevent the primer arm from binding up.
