Woohoo! I just sealed the envelopes on my form 7CR (with payment) and the copy to go to the sheriff's office.

How long are these things taking nowadays? I suppose I also need to find out where to get a bound book... and are there storage requirements?

Congrats. I just ordered my first C&R Gun today. It sure is fun to have someone say sure we can deliver that gun right to your door :)

For reference, I sent mine in on May 20 and received it on June 25. They cash the check immediately, though.

Here's to hoping your 7CR is a C&R License and you're not talking about something else :) :uhoh:

Congrats!

I sent mine in May 28 and I am still waiting... :(

Bound book I believe can just be a three ring binder... there were some pre-made sheets somewhere on line that you could print out to write the information on.

I don't remember any storage requirements being mentioned.

yeah, 7CR == C&R, i was just using the name of the form itself.

I did do one thing though.... I found the current C&R list, did some wrangling with some PDF tools I have here at work, and printed it out as a little 8x5 book, double sided. Real handy :) Real handy to have a saddle stapler too...

I sent my application in April, and it only took about 6 weeks to get my C&R license. I haven't ordered any firearms yet, but I'm accumulating some catalogs and flyers. Excellent discount from Midway and Brownells. I ordered a holster from Midway for $40.00 and got ten bucks off.
So far the only C&R handguns I've been able to find for sale are CZ52. There seems to be a lot of them, every dealer has them but nothing else.

I sent my application in April, and I'm still waiting. I called this week, and was told probably another two or three weeks. I think the wait depends on where you are, and how loaded the person handling that area is.

As for C&R pistols, there also seem to be some Nagant revolvers available now, as well as the CZ-52s mentioned above.
