I have one. About 800 rounds through it. Apex trigger kit and traction grips make a HUGE difference.

I see no need to buy an M&P, Glock 19, or other similar striker fired guns to get basically what I already have and paid $299 for new.

I own one... When I first got it the trigger was a little bit heavy to be comfortable for me, but spend like $20 for the apex trigger kit, and it will become a fantastic shooter! The trigger once fixed is extremely nice, it is an accurate and absolutely (in my about 1500 rounds of experience) reliable... Excellent gun for the price, IMHO

I have 2 9mm at $299.00 each with $22 for 2 wolff spring kits what's not to love. Good shooters with few vices. I use them to train new shooters. Most ladies I train do well with them( 4 got they own ). I carry an old Colt Agent .38,but would be happy to carry one .

Hey Guys,
Glad to here the Apex trigger is working well for you two...I've heard good things about it and its an easy installation as well.

I bet it is a good teaching gun, that trigger gives new shooters some room to feel the take up of the trigger and learn trigger control sort of like a DA revolver...which in my opinion would be best for all shooters...you learn that DA trigger system and you can master any trigger system, IMO.

I shoot 3 days a week here at my farm range and the SD9 gets the most workout of all my pistols. Why? I like the gun and after thousands of rounds, it has not hiccupped once. The trigger has gotten much smoother too. The SIGS and Walthers stay in the safe more and this SD9 is my house gun now. I also like the grip and trigger more than a Glock.

As popular as the SD9VE & SD40VE have become , I hope S&W consider a compact model of these guns. I believe they would sell very well! Especially if they used the regular magazines, as well . A compact seems the next step for such a well made pistol! Especially if they were close to the same price! :)

If they can do it with the M&P line they can do it with the SD9 too. Something about the size of the M&P compact and the Shield would be kind of nice. At the price of the SD9 they would sell like hot cakes.

I was considering a full size M&P 9, but never pulled the trigger on it. I thread all the horror stories of the early Sigma line, and not much else. Glad to hear they shaped up. Might have to add a SD9VE to my want list. It may even bump off the XD9.

At these prices, a SD40VE might just be the next pistol I am considering! Even by the time you add a apex spring kit & nite sights to it, your still under $400 in it! THAT'S A BARGAIN!
