Carried one of these around together for a while. There were the "back up" to my Colt Commander back in the 90's. SIG P230. Blackjack 1-7 on the left, Gerber MKII on the right.
I stippled up the grip a bit and gave it a shot of Aluma Hyde II and bead blasted and parkerized the blade. Its been retired for a couple of decades now, but its still in the safe.
This is its current daily carry relative, and issue Brit Commando.
I picked this one up back in the early 70's too. Serial number is "2000". Wore the finsh off the grip and the blade was starting to rust. Leather sheaths are as bad as leather holsters in that respect. Its in a kydex sheath now.Ratshooter
That's a Gerber Mk.I that I bought sometime in the mid to late '70s. Saw it in "Soldier of Fortune" magazine and just had to have one! It's an early production model when they were made with gray Armorhide handles and came with a tan colored leather sheath. Later production would have black handles and black sheaths.
