Carried one of these around together for a while. There were the "back up" to my Colt Commander back in the 90's. SIG P230. Blackjack 1-7 on the left, Gerber MKII on the right.

That's a Gerber Mk.I that I bought sometime in the mid to late '70s. Saw it in "Soldier of Fortune" magazine and just had to have one! It's an early production model when they were made with gray Armorhide handles and came with a tan colored leather sheath. Later production would have black handles and black sheaths.

I picked this one up back in the early 70's too. Serial number is "2000". Wore the finsh off the grip and the blade was starting to rust. Leather sheaths are as bad as leather holsters in that respect. Its in a kydex sheath now. :)

I stippled up the grip a bit and gave it a shot of Aluma Hyde II and bead blasted and parkerized the blade. Its been retired for a couple of decades now, but its still in the safe. :)

This is its current daily carry relative, and issue Brit Commando. :)

Looks like something an OSS operative would have on them when they were dropped into France during WWII!

Here are some of my favorites. I like to see those Gerber Mark II's. I used to be a huge collector of them; but I only have a couple left now. I have a few Mark I's as well. By the way the Mark I was not made until 1976 and that year the sheath and handle were green not black.

OK here is a picture of my brand new SD9VE I picked up a couple of hours ago and the only double edged pig sticker I have. Also the only Gerber knife I own. I have used that Gerber folder to clean and gut many deer and two Elk. Its sharp as a razor and really holds an edge. One of my better buys.

That Swiss bayonet has some really hard steel. I have it sharp but not as sharp as want it. It defies about every stone and diamond sharpener I use on it.
