H & H, I am sure you know, but others won't, the interesting thing is the .275 rigby was just the 7 x 57 mauser loaded at higher pressures, but cleverly packaged up by Rigby to get away from post war "mauser" worries. 7mm is a superb bullet.
Very true a classic case of re-marketing by Rigby. Of course if I ever have a 7x57 rifle built I will have to have the barrel marked .275 Rigby just to confuse the unwashed masses.
As we speak I am in process of having a 6.5-06 built and I desperately want to have it marked .256 Newton which is for all intensive purposes the same round. My gun smith won't do it however as he is a pill.
Beautiful Drahthaar Slabuda. I've been huntin' over them since the seventies when most were only FDSB registrable. Put my last one of 15 year down a coupla years ago and have not had the heart to get another till now. Got one coming this summer.
