My mistake, I conflated the 1889 Schmidt Rubin with the 1889/96 which were converted to the GP11. The fact that the Swiss kept the issued GP11 pressures down at about 45000 psi would help up from about 38000 psi for the older GP90/03. I would not shoot a 55000 psi load in that rifle though which is what too many websites call the max psi for the 7.5x55 Swiss.
