Any word on the new Leupold rangefinder with/without TBR?

I haven't been able to find many reviews on this new product. Anyone have any feedback on it? I was gonna go for the Nikon Monarch 1200 until I saw this one. Leica is out of my price range for this application, as it's more of a want than a need.

Have always wanted a decent rangefinder for targets as well as some other non shooting applications. Welcome any thoughts on this model or others in the $300 - $400 range.

I have the RX-IV Leupold and never been happy with it. On poorly reflective targets such as deer or plain old woods, it has never come close to living up to the reported specifications. A much less expensive Bushnell is much better with less impressive published specifications. Plus the Leupold was made in China. I was very disappointed when I received it and that was stamped on the unit. I would make sure the new Leupold performs better. I have heard other reports on forums that the Leupold that I own performed similarly.

I'm intrigued by the RX1000i for a small pocket LRF, however it's been my experience that Leupold has been behind the curve for a while in that department. Every single Leupold LRF I've looked through has not lived up to my expectations for something they'd put their name on. Bushnell was among the first to develop commercial LRF technology, and they do it well. Nikon also offers a great LRF for less money with better optics.
If the RX1000i is different a major upgrade, I'd like to hear about it. Perhaps it's too new of a product yet?

It's too bad their rangefinders are not on par with their scopes. I had read not so good things about previous LRF models. I like the compactness and features of these new models, but remain skeptical. I haven't been able to find one locally. Unless I hear some good things from actual users I'll likely stick with the Nikon.

Thanks for the replies.
