Greetings!
My carry pistol is a Ruger LC9s. Due to a lack of foresight on my part, I have some light rust and minor pitting on the slide where it contacts the holster. It is on the slide engraving. I've managed to take off the surface rust, but I'd like to figure a way to prevent it happening again. Right now, I'm using a very light coating of Vaseline, but while it seems to work, I consider it an inelegant solution at the least. I can't figure a way to get into the engraving which is where tne whole problem started. Any ideas would be appreciated.
