Little Help from the Glock Fanboys: 10mm and Pics

There is a gunshow this weekend, Ill poke around. I have to admit the S&W 610 is looking very attractive, but it would be a little more difficult to tote around if I wanted. I used to carry a GP100 from time to time though, where there is a will there is a way.

If you're going to get a gun as heavy and bulky as a 610, then why not get a .44 magnum? If you get a Model 29, it weighs less than the full-lugged 610

that is one nice firearm. If I could find one at our gunshows, might just have to give it a home. Let us know range results (158grain preference or even 180's would be nice). My wife wants one but we have been unable to locate one to handle before purchase.

Ill give a range report when I get it in. I ordered it from Bud's gun shop because it was cheaper, no tax. ect.

Glock 20's

I carried a Glock 20-C on duty as Deputy Sheriff in Texas for 16 years. I sleep with that same pistol in my nightstand and a Sure Fire M6 Flash Light. I revamped the internals; Tyvek Fulcrum Trigger and Race Gun Connector, titanium skeltonized striker and all new springs. I also installed a recoil-reduction device from Israel; it captures a smaller spring inside the recoil guide rod and has a heavy recoil spring that fits like a standard recoil spring. I also have a second Glock 20 that looks exactly like the one pictured earlier in this thread, the one with the 6" stainless slide and 6" stainless barrel. I also upgraded that one exactly like I did with the one I sleep beside. I keep the one beside my bed stoked with screaming hot 135 grain hollow points, and the 6" Glock has 165 grain screamers for more penetration. I take the Long Slide when I go hunting or Hiking along with a spare mag. I'm no match for a rifle, but then, the guy with the rifle may get over-confident and wander inside of 100 yards...

I carry a model 20 all the time in summer comfort IWB, it's not that bad. If the grip is all that is holding you back, consider buying one and having a grip reduction done. It'll set you back about $150 depending on who you have do it but it makes the grip significantly smaller.

Grip reductions are an option, as BMW2 mentioned. A number of outfits offer the service.

Mine was done by BowieTacticalConcepts and the work was excellent. It's a great-feeling grip and the pistol is more controllable with high-performance 10mm ammo, like Double Tap, Buffalo Bore, etc.

Glock 20 with grip reduction.
