After many years the 'thumb/ear' that interlocks with the shell plate on my aluminum Hornady wrench has finally worn/wallowed out.

The rest of my wrench is fine

I purchased one of these 3D printed plate holding devices for $7. Been using it for about a month now and it works just fine!

(I'm not associated with the Seller. Just bought one and thought I'd share)

I plan on keeping the OEM wrench / continuing to use it's other functions, but I'm afraid it's 'thumb' has suffered terminal damage! LOL!

The fleabay shell plate holder's 2-thumb design gets a good grip on the shell plate. It's wings transfer the torque back to the press during use, making it easy to hold in place.

I like it. :)

Color me dim. I’m evidently a bear of little wit. What does this do? Is it suppose to hold the shell late while you loosen/tighten the center screw?

When you're a hammer (have a 3D printer) every problem is a nail (3D Print).

For those of us on the simpler side of things.

I just use my hand, never needed an ancillary tool. I would like a 3D printer though.

Same. Never found a reason to tighten the shell plate He-man tight. I do use a split washer under the bolt though to keep it from coming loose in operation. I just tighten enough to flatten the washer, and run it.

I use the Hornady wrench and the tools from Bragging Rights.

This is refreshing; LNL post without anyone saying get a "Dillion".

I have two LNL's one for depriming cases and one for loading.

The LNL I use for loading as 120,002 rounds on it.

I see I am not the only one to cut the case feeder plate off their LNL.

One of the first things I did. I will probably never use the case feeder because they're expensive, noisy and don't give me a chance to inspect the cases as I reload. That and it was just in the way.

I had a case feeder that worked fine, but the noise was just to much, so I sold it. Then cut that arm off because your right definitely in the way.
