I have several hundred 444 Marlin shells. Also have 100 magtech 410 brass 2.5" shotshells. I want to load them with 00 and 000 Buck. Other than the obvious primer issue do any of you know of any special requirements? Any load data? I think a cardboard wad and slight crimp would work OK. I will be using them in a Savage 24 combo, heavy barrel .

Thank you everyone. I understand they use them for cowboy action. I am looking for the metallic traits for maximum times reloaded as opposed to plastic shotshells that have a short life. I am trying to use my 444 marlin dies to size and provide a roll crimp at the top. I have a Lee loader in 410-3" but can't get it to work with the brass shells.I will let you all know how I make out as it goes along on this thread.

I wouldn't put to much of a crimp on the mouth. Since there's really nothing there to push back (no bullet), I'd think there'd be a possiblity of over working the brass and eventually causing spits. From what I've read most guys are just glueing a cardboard card on top.
